Dating Tips and Advice for Singles in South Carolina

"South Carolina offers so many beautiful and romantic weekend get away places. If you like the beach, We have some of the best from busy Myrtle Beach where nights never end to Edisto Beach where you can spend a quiet weekend fishing and spending time with the one(s) you love. If spending time in the mountains is your therapy, travel to the upstate..there are many state parks up there that you will enjoy. South Carolina is rich in heritage and there are so many cool places to visit that will greatly enrich and relax you. Smiling faces, beautiful places...South Carolina is the place to be!!" -Pat Kelley, Lucknow, SC

"There's an upscale dance club in Columbia called Salsa Cabana, where, if you like to dance, it is a good place for couples to go and enjoy themselves. There are also a number of coffee shops, four shopping malls, plenty of shopping strips, and this nice park downtown called Finlay Park. The park has some nice fountains, a couple waterfalls, and a lot of open area for bringing picnics and blankets. If you like to shop, though, take your date/significant other down to Charleston. The atmosphere there is very laid-back and relaxed. There is an area there called Waterfront Park, which is mainly a dock with swinging benches and water fountains; it's mainly a spot for couples to go and canoodle. :-) If you go, also check out The Battery, Market Street, King Street, Port City Java, and A.W. Shucks. There should be plenty of nightlife there too! :-D" -Tammy, Columbia, SC

"Clubs are kind of lacking in SC, so dates are often forced to be a little more creative. In the Greenville area, my favorite place to take a date is to the roof of the abandoned Crawford Building to sit behind the billboards. Be careful what you do up there, though--drivers on the overpass can see you!" -Nadia, Greenville
