Dating Tips and Advice for Singles in Portland, OR
"Girls in Portland for the most part are looking for guys who are educated, outspoken, and know how to treat a woman. I personally am looking for someone who is well educated, has christian values, has a good sense of humor and is close with their family. Oh, height is also a factor! :-) A good place to take a date would be somewhere downtown such as Portland City Grill and then a walk along the waterfront afterward. (When it's not raining that is!)" -Christine, Gresham
"P-town is a place full of hippie love, and a lot of people are just looking for a good intellectual conversation, some quality coffee, vegan bites, or a stroll outside. Afterall, it's a beautiful city that boasts both green people and green trees, so take advantage of them. I recommend taking the Max downtown and hiking it over to Powels, followed by a slice of fine-dining pizza at Pizza-Oasis. That way you can share your vast knowledge and impress your date while affordably buying her dinner and enjoying it all the same. PS- I like this option because it is remarkably cheap and enviro-friendly!" -Kara, Portland
"Not everyone will like my advice, and it is just an advice. So don't take it personally if you don't like it... I think it'd be best if you got to know the person first before you start dating by becoming friends. Being friends is one way of having a relationship with another person, plus in a way, it'll be a good state to be in if you don't want to be "more than just" friends. In a way it wouldn't hurt as much for both of you.. While at the stage of being friends, you find out the person's likes, dislikes, and whatnot. You'll know whether or not if that person likes to be around with you, if you interest them, and when the time comes, it'll be easier for you since they're comfortable being around with you... Although it might feel weird and what not, but if it doesn't work out, you can always be friends.
Becoming friends to have a life-long relationship is my advice for anyone. Hey if you don't want to do it that way, it is only an advice. Though people tend to like the challenging, playing mind games, mysterious way, but it is no fun, hurtful and time consuming to some people - That's my opinion, so don't take it in a bad way.
Just to summarize it if you don't understand... Two words: Becoming Friends." -Chan,
"Interests in Portland are usually artistic in nature such as museums, movies, plays, concerts. There are plenty of really nice restaurants in the theatre and concert districts. Where to meet singles? You got me there...wherever....know what I mean?" -Anita, Hillsboro
